It's probably going to take a class action lawsuit and winning it.
I think this is here to stay and "artist" is going to change its meaning.
The companies that create these data bases should have to pay the creator for the work in their data base or hire a team of artists specially to create art for their data base.
That's not going to happen. And I doubt artists would sell to them. It would be interesting if these A.I. companies claimed the work of anyone who used
their A.I. to create copies artist's styles and subject matter and not let them profit from it commercially. Then it would be just a tool for inspiration, concepts, studies--personal use.
Interesting times.
