Elon says "... a rigorous adherence to truth is the most important thing ....".
And yet "our hero" decisively intervened to help the politician who is by far the most disconnected from truth win a narrow victory to become president even after his attempt to stay in power despite losing the previous election. How does this very confident sounding, even arrogant man, justify doing that while preaching about the importance of truth in AI?
Rigorous adherence to the truth probably is extremely important in AI, but no doubt is at least as important in human affairs.
Elon's vital role in swinging the 2024 election to Trump will rightly be remembered as a valid reason for infamy.
