The average quality of life could be much, much higher if we stop people at the top from hoovering up so much of the money, and doing things that benefit themselves at the expense of everyone else.
I expect the main people who are worried about AI meeting every citizen's every need are the same people enabling the rich to hoover up the money. They just don't want "the poors" to get anything. They act like they care about hard work, but in reality, the socioeconomic class you're born into is a far bigger determiner of financial success than hard work.
