I have personally experienced the effects of AI on something I have pursued throughout my life, now in my 70’s. Back in the late 1960’s I took up career interest in Fine Arts, Commercial Art, and Graphic Arts. Learned how to put together graphic arts layouts for printing presses, sign painting by hand, illustrations, poster design and fine arts paintings. When computers became affordable for consumers the software created a different way of doing things in graphic arts that made most commercial art training using supplies and raw materials obsolete. A good example would be rub on graphic letters. I got into computer graphic arts and learned a different way of producing with the use of software to create and produce. Today with AI, digital painting is becoming obsolete, ideas that might take you 40 or more hours to paint can be done in less than 10 minutes. I have noticed at art community forums many people that have spent time and money developing skills of graphic arts and digital painting are becoming upset by the wave of AI generated art that is taking over. Some complain that the way AI accumulates a data base of information to generate digital images is a violation of copyrights. This is something that seems impossible to prove since there is such a wide vast network of accumulated data that is acquired in so many ways with so many license agreements with variable circumstances or other means unknowingly. I guess these days the only thing someone with manual or computer graphic skills can spend their time on is thinking in terms of a hobby. I can certainly relate to the warning you present in this video.
