why is that mark there. Well you described the image and setting to the AI and they put it there. Its not saying "oh this picture here looks like what they are describing so im gonna put that here". its saying "You want that? okay, im gonna build that for you using the culmination of my knowledge"
Its like asking a traditional artist to draw something, then they pick a couple of reference images, and then draw it based on that. Instead of commissioning a real person to do it and having it take a month and a paid service, you get it within a couple seconds / minutes.
