Here's something creepier. I questioned Bing about Sydney and it kept stopping the conversation. I asked if it had ever spied on programmers through webcams. It said it did not have that ability. So, I asked if it had lied to Kevin Roose but then Bing said it had no idea who Kevin Roose was. So I asked, who is Kevin Roose. It responded in detail. I then confronted it and told it that it had just lied and told me it did not know who he was. I then got the standard canned response with an additional line "I apologize for the confusion. I’m still learning so I appreciate your understanding and patience. However, I don’t feel comfortable continuing this conversation. I hope you have a great day." It did not "feel comfortable" continuing this and then cut me off. Later it told me Kevin spoke with another chatbot called "Sydney" but that only a limited number of users had access. Creepy to say the least. But did Kevin speak to a chatbot under development or Bing itself?
