Ever since the industrial revolution, we were promised that machines would make life of the average human being easier. People lost limbs in factories, for mass produced goods that often had a shorter longevity than hand made products, and we all started to accept it as normal. Then non-generative AI became a thing. One of the most notable first it were the switchboard operators, a few years back it was the cashiers, these days it is artists seeing the devastation of the curses of generative AI.
And while more and more people are becoming jobless, the rich get richer while we still have no basic income.
And now tech bro's want to take our last joy away - creativity? That's awful. I don't want airbrushed ai slop, I don't want smooth near-human voices speaking to me. Make me feel like I interact with the real world, and see and hear things that were made by real human beings. When I experience art, I want to experience the heart that was in it, and that is what AI will always lack.
