Hinton saying "nobody knows" at around 24:00 is precisely why all of this needs to be taken back into the shop. We may not know the damage AI may or may not cause, but to his point about short term profit-minded people using AI, people with AI will do massive damage, which is why ethical standards and legal safegaurds HAVE to be put in place by yesterday.
