The future for illustrators it’s pretty over, I’m saying this as an artist and this hurts me so much. When AI will become more advanced (5/10 years from now), no companies will hire illustrators anymore. A program who can create unlimited numbers of illustrations in a professional way and in just few seconds it’s absolutely the best choice for a company who need illustrations for their products. An AI doesn’t need to bring 💵 home, doesn’t need a break, doesn’t have burnouts etc… and a company doesn’t need to pay extra taxes to use an AI, because it’s not hiring a person. With AI, big companies will make even more money because AI can create all the illustrations needed in few minutes. An artist needs at least days/ months to do so. People will draw just for fun but it will not be a job anymore. Art will become just a way to fight stress and other mental problems, nothing more. This is sad, but this is the future and it’s happening right now and I agree with people who say "no one can stop this" because it’s the truth and there’s no other way to avoid this.
