I don't use AI for school but I understand the allure—super easy answers. I imagine it's like using a calculator though. It's off-limits until you learn the arithmetic in and out and then it's a tool. You need to understand what it's doing first though. I'm still at the point where I'm learning the craft of writing. If I get to the point where I feel good about my own writing maybe I'll use it. I'm not opposed on a fundamental level but it's not quite my thing right now.
Actually the only thing I've done with it was generate pet chicken names. It ruled at that. "Popcorn" was my favorite suggestion 😂
