That's so stupid. I'm a programmer, and I tried to teach some really smart people programming - and they couldn't do it. You need the ability to imagine and visualize complex data structures, relations between data, program flow and algorithms. You can be highly intelligent without having this ability, and then you will never be a decent programmer, regardless how much an AI supports you.
By the way, there were so many proposals to make "everyone" a programmer: Expert system, code generators, visual programming, imitating natural languages (e.g. SQL), domain specific languages, the list goes on, and nothing so far had an widespread impact to non-programmers. E.g. you can do a lot of programming in Excel, it's dead easy and accessible for like 20 years, and still very few people use this potential for more than a few snippets copied from the internet.
I'm a Java programmer, and I can tell you the one thing that got kids into Java programming. It was nothing "convenient", is was nothing made for non-programmers, nope, the main thing which was attracting kids to Java programming was... Minecraft.
