I don't understand the premise of this video. You criticize AI for "taking other people's ideas or inspirations." Yet you go through a multitude of examples (including personal ones), of how previous experiences, ideas, and inspirations shape art and its designs. Am I missing something here? Or is it not the same? The real issue with current AI is that its not being checked for errors. But this is normal, and it compares to how sloppy we humans are at projects as well if not checked properly. When you do a project, you have a number of people that will be your "editors" or "producers," and they will go over material to check for any errors or blips for the artist, writer, etc to change or look over. You don't want an Engineer to design a building without going through different oversight meetings to look at the project for any signs of defects, weakness, etc. And this same mindset should be given to AI. It is a tool that can speed-up a process, but needs to be checked, and sadly there are people out there who just spit out AI generated content. But this is not AI's fault. How many times have humans spit out disinformation in the past (before the internet even), and this has been accepted even though they were wrong? So to all these people criticizing AI, stop it. You're just mad its doing something without the effort it took you to learn in the past. But that is the effect of technology, and how it has felt in other work areas in the past as well. You need to accept this and move forward, and instead use the technology to grow.
