What some are forgetting is that the necessary data base centres upon which AI is based use a massive amount of water and electricity. Therefore if we are to run AI based economies, we need to find cheap electricity and free water (good luck with that in arid climates from Africa to texas). Only a fraction of countries can produce enough electricity in their grid to power these systems, plus the production of machinery, robots ètc. The rest of the world will survive without AI. This is an expensive and dangerous experiment where everyone would eventually be connected to some LLM all day, which runs their courses, business, tasks, meetings, and strategies, medical consultations and travel plans. This does not sound healthy even for the super rich, who by default would end up doing absolutely nothing the whole day. The way to stop this is to stop using AI and make our voices heard in the political debate, in the news articles and debates and so on. Instead, most people complain about the possible dangers while using Chat GPT for most tasks.😅 that’s the best way to shrink our 🧠
