I always thought the story of the forbidden fruit, & the tree of knowledge in the Bible was just told to keep people ignorant, and compliant to the book....Now I see a much more important reason behind it. The nuclear bomb. AI. On demand everything. Bioengineering freak shows. Societal degradation. Forever chemicals. More evolved weapons of war. Yes knowledge is a double edged knife that cuts both ways, but we sure have been cut many, many times. Does it really matter if we can easily cut venison, when we're bleeding out, and gasping for air?
