1:08:03 I really think everyone should be getting paid for the training data because we all created it!! What they are training the AI on, without our permission nor any compensation, is OUR data we created during the course of our online life. Just like musicians and other creatives have taken the issue to court and won, we should too. Or rather the government should just put something in place without us having to do anything! In recognition of this fact.
Now I get why they don’t want to give everyone a ton of money right now, they still need our labour. But they should put significant amounts of money into a ‘transition fund’ akin to a pension, no tax etc. but easy to access at an agreed phase of the roll out of AI so people can pay off their mortgages, debt, weddings, whatever. So that they can be debt free and able to live in expensively. So when the job losses hit hard, everyone is cushioned. Not out of the good graces of someone else. But because we ALL CONTRIBUTED to the training of Ai whether we liked it or not.
