The "Artificial Intelligence" that beat Kasparov (Deep Blue) was completely different in the way it was constructed and ran, than the AI in ChatGPT and others. To mention them as the same thing is not unlike speaking about the discoveries made about gravitational waves and those made with satellite-based telescopes. Sure, they are in the same field, but the path that took us to both kinds of technologies is very different
