I'm in the processes of switching from Ai art to human art to illustrate my stories. The biggest advantage of AI isn't the price or the quality, it's that it's easy to interact with. With human artists you need to email them to see who is available then negotiate price and send concept boards, etc... When I first started commissioning humans, I was spending about 5x as much time on each commission as the human artist. Right now, I've gotten it down to about 1.5x, but it's eating into my actual writing time. Anything that you can do to streamline this process hurts AI. I'd love a fiverr-like site that either doesn't allow AI, or makes it easy to filter out. (Artists, please consider taking on more indie commissions, like book and album covers. And then learn how to do them so you can be ready for clients. And make payment as easy as possible). Don't focus on twitter! Focus on people who actually want to pay for your art (and those of us who need it!)
