There's literally already a case of AI cheating an artist out of work. The game Generation Zero featured robots that people noticed looked very similar to the work of Simon Stalenhag. The kicker? He didn't have any involvement with the game. They trained a model off of his published work, generated concept art for robots in his style and based the final assets off of those generations instead of hiring him to make the concept art. The team wanted his talent but didn't want to bother paying him, so they cheated him out of an opportunity! That is just theft!
