As someone who’s getting into machine learning it’s obvious that a lot of schools jobs, and more are utilizing AI. But the truth is.. it’s the people fault for the cause of this apocalypse of ai being used for replacement of needed jobs, cheating knowledge and just taking advantage of it the wrong way. However, there is two ways that ai can ultimately be used in the future.(best way I can explain is through referencing it to video games or movies!) One way it can be ultimately be used for is well.. for everything (literally). Meaning at some point in the future… rather it’s 5 years or 10 years ahead… we will end up having protests.. possibly riots because of ai being used to replace things that either don’t need to be replace or for the sake of greed ( like in Detroit become human). Don’t get me wrong, AI is very useful and has potential for many great things. However, for what it’s being mostly used for currently.. is like skipping cut sense in a video game. I’m not just saying to get brownie points because I have used ai to do my work. Either I want to do something else or I was just lazy in general. It’s the reason why I failed to possibly take any possible advantage of improving my education at my old university (which btw I’m 19, transfer to a community college) despite passing with decent grades which messed up my gpa. But again.. it allowed me to open a new chapter.. which was trying a new language and giving a shot a different tech path which is ML specialist. Might have still used ai to do my essays and such— but I used it wisely this time by making sure i use it as a tool (combined with actually searching for the correct evidence) to produce an essay that isn’t just a complete copy and paste of what the ai said. After all.. Ai ain’t that smart enough to find what I need. But enough of me.. the second way it can be ultimately be used for is well.. it should be used for… aka Helping us improve and grow our understanding. Meaning instead of relying on the specific methods of teaching that lead to struggling to solve a math problem or understanding the meaning behind something despite the usefulness of your critical thinking skills.. ai can help the student or anyone learn and understand whatever is they are trying to learn. Most of all.. if it can be program/ prompted correctly.. Ai can be used to force the person to have to think through the thinking process and even ask questions that help them rather then just giving the answer with no gain of expertise or knowledge from it. (Think of it like back to the future 2. You still have jobs being taken by human beings but without the necessary need to change some salary, or even replace them. Just allowing them to use it as tool to help improve their understanding, learn and overall get the most out of the job). But for that to happen.. will only depend on this generation and the upcoming ones. They are one that will determine the ultimate use of ai and overall future of society. As for now.. you can choose rather or not to use ai. But if you do use ai… learn and understand how you can use it to improve your education in the way that you can succeed instead of what it’s currently being used for. That’s all! (Sorry for this whole.. Ted talk.) :)
