12:27 What if i generate images to practice by learning how the generated art flows when working with my OC that looked like it was drawn by a cat? After months of generating, analyzing, practicing, repeating, i can at least draw at a preschooler level now. Maybe somewhere within next 100 years i will reach a skill level high enough to not be embarassed to show it to my cats. What about people like me? Completely and absolutely untrainable to be half decent at art but still wishing to make something beautiful? For me personally AI Image generators are an invaluable tool for studying different art styles and mixes to improve little by little. It's not about "you di◙ not try hard enough" or sth like that. For some people some things are straight up impossible but that does not mean that i will give up on my dream just because it's impossible. I am pretty good at 3D modeling but 2D art for me is just 💀. One day i want to be able to make my own 2D reference sheets for my 3D models but that day is very far away and if there was no AI it would've been even further away. Yes, there are a lot of harm done by a MALICIOUS use of AI but isn't that the case for everything? For example you breathe out carbon dioxide every day and it causes global warming, climate changes, deaths etc. But it also is used to extingush fires, plants use it to produce oxygen that you breathe. So is CO2 bad? No it isn't. It's the way it's used that matters. Same with AI Image generator. It can be used for learning/training purposes but it can also be used to do horrible things. It's up to humans how to use the technology, and it's certainly not the technology fault that humans are...... humans. I am not defending the humans that use AI image generators in a malicious way but i am defending the tech itself. It has great potential to do good to humans unlike humans themselves.
