The meaningfulness of art is independent from the necessities of it belonging to a particular genre or cultural moment. Art as commodity is different from art as means of personal self expression, they are often mixed together but need not be. If an A.I. can generate a movie that makes the studios money and doesn't tank their reputation to the point where they will continue to make money then that will be the trend.
You can say that's not art, but I think you'll find out that ''art'' as is being defined here is not what most people care about.
Also I'm sick of people conflating the discussion about whether it is art or whether or not the art generated is stolen, those are two different discussions.
