AI is our asteroid event. Like the dinosaurs we too will give way to the next iteration of intelligence, and no , it can not be stopped or even slowed, just like the asteroid, it is set in motion and it will arrive on its own schedule. Therefore I will adopt the attitude “party like it’s 1999”. The chances of my DNA marking into the future are none existent. I will take comfort then not in my own survival but in the glory that it was my species that gave rise to galactic intelligence.
