You should replace the word AI with "GPT model architecture", because AI will certainly replace developers but it didn't happen yet. People don't understand that AI will gradually be just like us but more scaled up. Now, the context window limitation is a just how things started, when it's solved and you get persistent memory like humans and you also get AI learning more optimized (not wasting resources training from massive amounts of data to produce something useful), when both of these breakthroughs get implemented, say goodbye to these intelligence-based jobs.. Because you'll have a cheap scalable intelligence that doesn't eat, sleep or have desires unrelated to work..
