1:18:04 I feel that I have a duty to address the elephant in the room. We are placing our trust in a very new system. The system that is showing signs of a manipulative personality, and the argument that AI doesn’t really have a personality because it doesn’t have real feelings actually helps drive my point home. Hence, the word artificial, doesn’t really whole sway in that context. You could say actually , that fact makes the situation all the more detrimental. We could argue that when a person is revealed to be manipulative, and have a manipulative personality, that the manipulative side of their personality is artificial. It is artificial because manipulation is the ability to lie on a level that is not detected until damage is done. Lies are not reality therefore it is artificial. So whether the manipulation is coming from a human or AI, it’s artificial no matter what.
