Wow, I can’t believe they torpedoed themselves like this. I attempted to do nanowrimo a few times in the past but could never keep to it. That said, I have writer friends who have done it and found it useful. So this is such a bummer.
AI is like the antithesis of something like nanowrimo. And what a bunch of crap trying to cloak it in ableism—as though creative spaces haven’t largely been a place of refuge from the ableist requirements and realities of conventional and corporate life. Glad to see their writing team didn’t stand for that!
