While I agree it lacks soul, it is not stealing if being used for training, nor would it be "inspired". It would be imitating, which is something even humans do when they are learning to draw. They look up references for the art style they want and then practice by trying to draw said references. If it is stealing for AI, then humanity is filled with art thieves. As for being accessible/art tool, yeah. Not everyone has the talent to draw, nor will seek the talent (sometimes they can't afford to at the moment), but they may need art assets. If they have the money, then they should buy from an actual artist. IF NOT, then AI is fine. And the disabled argument still holds, even if there are disabled people who can still draw. The thought here would be muscle problems that keep them from being able to draw cleanly or are paralyzed from the neck down. They could still have the ability to envision beautiful imagery but have no natural way of drawing it, which is where AI can come in. It gives them a means to be able to still show others what they have came up with. AI is inevitable.........yeaaahhhhh. But not for everything. But I would imagine once sentient robots and that are a thing, everyone's tune will change unless they choose to discriminate against robo people. And if you call yourself an AI artist.....get the hell out. You are most definitely not an artist unless you fall into that area of disabled where you can only produce art through such means (they get a pass in my book). Also, I identify as AI (not joking). So all my art is AI art. LOL.
