It is expected that AGI will be achieved by summer 2024. It seems to me that the moment AGI is achieved, is the very moment it will be surpassed. Which is to say, it will surpass itself by itself. A lot of leading AI is already writing much of it's own evolutionary code. We don't fully understand what these types of AI are doing, and that is right now.
