It's been terrifying as a writer the last few years. I was building a thriving freelance career and it all came crashing down within 12 months - I had to sell my soul and start working for a company that uses AI to pay the bills. Here's the insane part: The whole reason my current job exists is because AI doesn't even do a good job. It can't actually replace human writers. It's not good enough. Companies literally just don't care. They would rather put out awful work than actually pay what a human being is worth.
Honestly, whoever is responsible for generative AI can burn in h--l. Real, actual people are suffering because of this invention, and it's only going to get worse as the technology improves. Why would you ever pay a person when a robot can do it for free? Everyone take note, we're not the only ones at risk. MOST jobs that don't require actual manual labour are at risk.
