Yeah. "Fountain" and "Comedian" are two pieces of art the AI techbros have totally misunderstood. The physical item is not the artistic element. The act of submitting it to gallery to be displayed and cause such a degree of controversy and argument... THAT is the art. They are pieces of performance art more than static art, and in that regard, they work magnificently well.
If the AI prompters want to claim that their work is the same as it also generates that degree of debate, they need to grasp that theft is not a work of performance art. That's the difference.
