I strongly suspect the reason the "AI bros" are so rabidly attacking artists is because they are just NFT bros that migrated to the next hype train. The NFT bros tried to hawk NFTs to artists and the vast majority said no, and it was pointless/useless. Doesn't help people where stealing art and making NFTs of it for a profit. The whole "deal" had this weird "adopt our tech or get your shit stolen" vibe. Now AI rolls around, they are all still butthurt artists never adopted NFTs and probably partly blame them for it failing. So now they are going on a crusade to "destroy all the arrogant artists".
