Managers as usual, being clueless, but want to get incentive pay and show they are "managers". The formula is the number of people let go times salary, oh look! Look at the amount of money I saved the company! Not understanding AI is NOT going to cover the jobs, nor save their butts when reality hits. It's like when a CEO has stores that don't produce X% above operating costs (But they make money above their costs), they close the stores and claim their year end incentives of millions of dollars. Not realizing the damage they're doing to the company much less the economy overall. Overhead costs go up on products and insurance, the companies image is tarnished. The "picture" for the whole economy looks bleaker. Which of course, dampens their and everyone else's sales.
