had a discussion with someone who was using AI for music "production," literally just talks with the AI for song lyrics, tells the AI what "style" to use, creates this whole elaborate thing with AI performers for the music, and it sounds....boring. She claims it helps her make music in a way that would normally be too difficult for herself. The music is meandering, aimless, and uninteresting because there's no actual /energy/ to it, it's just a coded recreation of whatever the AI thought fit the request. When a person claims they're a musician, but their actual experience is "a little bit of bass" and a catalog of AI generated shit, it's a huge slap in the face to art and the people that throw their lives into it
