one can argue that making an ai could be art. you are creating. coding and refining in a tedious process with a vision of something noone else in this world could create the way you do. Now using that Ai, wether its midjourney or even just within photoshop, is using anothers tool to print something. you are not creating something unique just because you rendered it a bagillion times. its a gacha game of wordle. some people can type in a few syllables and get it to spit out a visually stunning image, others need a couple of tries before the ai understands. But art isnt about the beauty of an artwork. Heck, it isnt even about the message and expression behind the art! That is merely a narrative tool to enrich it! Art is about creativity and problem-solving, about creating one of a kind things, for you, for the creator. Arts purpose is to be created. Not to be seen sold or copied, those are necessary byproducts if anything. gotta afford to live after all.
