AI doesn’t just threaten IT, design, management, medicine, and journalism... crafts and nursing are also at risk due to the development of AI robots (just look up the Figure robot, for example). In the social sector, human workers might still be desirable, but will we even be able to afford them if AI robots can do everything much more cheaply?
And regarding universal basic income... where is the state supposed to get the money from if no one pays taxes anymore because no one is working? They won’t even be able to pay their civil servants (police, teachers, judges, politicians, …) anymore. The entire state system and capitalism itself are in danger.
