Read "Empire of AI" by Karen Hao. Sam Altman wasn't always the way he is now. But he has become calculating, manipulative, persuasive, and frankly, dangerous, because of the power he holds. Peter Thiel is another one, probably way worse. They're close friends, btw. They're building their underground bunkers because they know that the path can take an ugly turn.
