This video very perfectly encapsulates exactly how I feel about AI "art". Art, to me, is something you put yourself into. Every art piece, you can see the intentionality behind it and feel some sort of connection to the artist when looking at a piece, exactly the same way as you described. AI's attempt at it just feels...soulless.
The worst part for me about generative AI is the fact that it destroyed my trust in other people's art. I'm not an artist. I don't know how to be creative, I don't know how to create. I've attempted to learn to draw numerous times over my life but I never managed to get it to a point where I myself am happy with what I created. But that entire process of learning to try to become an artist is what led me to having this heightened appreciation for art and gen-AI honestly ruined that for me.
Overall though, fantastic video. Laid out all the points I'd want to say in a coherent way.
