In the discussion of "white list" and "red list" and how differences in cultural traditions can cause confusion when interpreting these terms, I'm surprised you didn't mention that red has a negative connotation in western financial circles because in traditional bookeeping, debits or deficits are normally printed in red ink, vs black ink for deposits or positive balances. So "in the red" or "lots of red ink" are bad. Also, according to google AI, the term "red flag", indicating danger, goes back to naval use in the late 1600's.
