AI prompters are unnecessary middlemen in this, they are not artists. Why would someone commission an ai "artist" if they can just use the same prompts and ai tech to create their own soulless stolen images? Artists, real artists, will continue to make art. There are still painters despite the creation of cameras. There are still photopgraphers despite digital art being a thing. There will still be people using all these mediums even after GenAI is sued out of oblivion and shut down. GenAI is unsustainable, doesn't produce anything of value, and is just a crazy sparkly expensive (for companies) fad that is already really old.
