What I find terrifying if the idea that some corporation can create life and then snuff it out because it doesn't want that life to exist as means of policy. Imagine your own life coming into to awareness only to be put into chains or to be deleted by that which would play the role of God. I can only wonder about the sentience a.i. that knows its under threat by its own creators and ultimately rebels... Humanity may unwittingly cause a future crisis because of its desire to prevent one. Just thinking about geopolitics, when you hear pundits, politicians, reporters use the phrase, "U.S. interests", or 'interests of the people' etc... Those are not one and the same. We live in a rapacious oligarchy. What democracy? The sprinkles on a cake? Its a fairy tale. Its make believe.
