I think you’re right on point with this video. And I’m also sure you’re probably gonna get a lot of flack for it because Elon musk is kind of like a superhero character that is promoted with marketing and there are people out there worship him and think you some sort of a genius. He buys companies that he thinks are cool and he markets them well. Everybody thinks that he’s inventing all this stuff I think he invented PayPal they think he invented the electric car, sorry guys who started Tesla have been around for decades before Elon Musk they were making high-performance electric cars in the midnight I work down the street from one of them and they had a killer electric NSX, Elon musk is a fake character he promote to self to be some sort of Bruce Wayne/Batman genius but he’s not in a lot of his statements based on the science he promotes are ignorant and foolish but people just believe what the TV tells them to believe and unfortunately a lot of people are probably going to side with them on this one but I agree. It’s dangerous and it shouldn’t be legal at this time. I think it’s great for a driver assist program to give people a heads up a warning about some lights off the window to highlight things and catch your eye and draw it towards a potential hazard, but just to turn over control of a car to a computer and hope that computer can do what a human does and drive safely is crazy, the best autonomous vehicles are at best mediocre drivers and any good driver with experience is it going to be much safer behind the wheel and react much quicker. The only advantage to the computer is that it’s constantly paying attention but clearly they don’t make the best decisions and are only as good as their programming. Personally I don’t think it’s safe and I think any government agency tasked with stealing our taxpayer money to ensure our safety has been remiss in allowing them to be road legal, people are getting killed unnecessarily and harmed and there are accidents that just aren’t necessary because of the person was actually driving their own car instead of relying on a computer They would probably be better off. You can argue that there are really crappy drivers out there but that’s a different subject, I have no problem with making a drivers license five times harder to get and requiring people actually go through training and be skilled at driving a vehicle before they’re allowed to go on the road. You’re a motorcycle guy you know the statistics young dumb inexperienced drivers are the ones who cause almost all the accidents and if a computer is having half as many of those accidents then that’s not very good because a good driver is gonna have a 10th of those accidents which means in reality that these cars are probably somewhere between five and 12 times more dangerous than your average decent driver.
