Even those exposed to non biased data tend to become racist as well. When you look only at the raw numbers then specific people groups who are more involved in certain activities (both positive and negative) are held in different light. Ai doesn’t consider all humans equal it considers data. If that data shows a trend it doesn’t ponder on why that trend occurs it simply notes it then continues computing. If black patients need to be sicker in order to be treated then likely the ai was set to maximize profits and took into account average income by demographic in order to chose who to save based on who was most likely to pay. The specific person from police software…. That’s probably a thousand times more complex and almost certainly not useful
