Uh, guys,, boys and girls, my take is that AI's can be programmed to behave like humans in speech and behavior almost as if they were really conscious but can never produce independent thought cuz that will always be the domain of humans and their gift of consciousness. The best example of closest achievement to humanlike thinking is Big Blue's chess player so programmed in its memory banks with all known chess moves
as to beat human chess players!
