I don't know if that's exactly the way to go, but we need more and more experiences in education. I'm a teacher in a technical school but for just under a year now. And one of the things I we should be doing is to short the lecture time and put more and more time in projects. Learn by doing and iterate. I don't know, by training "working-bees" as someone mentioned here in the comments pisses me off. The problem is that I was trained like that, so coming up with new ideas has been hard. Specially because I work in the extraordinarily bureaucratic Brazilian public school system.
