Like it or not, agree with it or not, but there is an argument that paying people someone in Africa an equal amount for equal work the same as an employee in Silicon Valley or Singapore would be greatly disruptive to their lives and the lives of those around them. They could suddenly become kings or targets for theft and ransom.
