People are forgetting one simple fact that companies like Suno are specifically downloading and studying other people’s music for free and then making a profit off of it. None of the stuff that they’re creating with their AI is just AI. It’s all based on sampling of past musicians and recordings. It really is just copying other musicians and calling it its own where the AI does stand out though is AI has the ability to master these tracks so perfectly because as we know when you record something real, it is not easy to get levels perfect because music isn’t perfect but when you have AI everything’s perfect. We have a show coming up and we had one of our members show us a song that our old riff put into AI and it sounds bad ass, but it’s really using tones that it’s gotten from other people and other people’s music so I don’t know if they should be able to make money off of Suno when they’re copying everybody else’s shit.
