Hi, I'm working in a scientific field, and I wanted to provide some context. Scientists aren't really losing their jobs because of AI, at least not in chemistry/physics. AI and machine learning has been used in research for decades, the fact that it's getting better is good for us. Advancements in AI only make our jobs easier, not lower in demand. The Nobel prize wasn't awarded to an AI, it was awarded to the people who put into practice how to predict protein folding.
Edit: Just wanted to say that this was not to take Max down by saying he has no idea what he's talking about. AI is becoming more heavily used around science, but that's strictly a good thing.
