I just got my phd in chemistry and have been applying to jobs that require phds and receive 100+ applications in a week. I have gotten just 1 final round interview. The one job I've been able to land is training an AI model on phd level questions that are so difficult I probably wouldn't get them right if I was asked. Jobs in the real world are non-existent, only jobs training my AI replacement are available. Excellent
