Being activly using AI within enterprise software integration, I can say there is benefit in form of things we coulndt have achieved years ago. But those are more on the longtail side.
From the business perspective it mostly boils down to having to implement a non-AI fallback, once the AI integration falls down the cliff - and it will do in certain scenarios. This leads to more efforts in developing the solution - thus you can use AI to help you on that. But the system itself grows in complexity (which is mostly not a thing you like to have).
