No, it's not! We can still "win" this, by not allowing it! Hell, the more qualified you are, the easier you normally find a job (ok: I admit, unless AI is "eating" your job!), so you can leave and work for a place that gives you remote work! Hell, I have friends who are programmers (well, IT-Specialists and full stack devs!) and both have remote work (one fully because he's renovating his new home (gift from his uncle - yes, he got gifted an entire house!) in the boonies (he likes it there for some reason, despite the fact that he could double or even triple his salary if he lived somewhere else or moved abroad! The other has 2 days a week (Monday and Friday, so he basically has a stress-free weekend, as he can get up late (as long as he puts in the required hours his boss don't care when he gets up!))...for the rest of us? Yeah, we can too!
