even if the training data is ethically sourced, AI is still really bad for the environment, so even then i wouldnt say AI is ethical. If there was an AI thats ethically sourced and has no impact on the environment id be okay with people using it, but it should still have limitations. like being required to label it as AI and stuff. it also sucks how AI is overtaking spaces for artists, i want that to stop. the other day i was trying to buy a nice poster and 90% of the images were AI generated while the rest was made by real artists. and all the AI stuff everywhere makes it a lot harder to find references haha
